Why is it important to keep your website well maintained?

A well maintained and updated website is crucial for all service industries. All website owners need frequent website support to attract and hold clients. It is also crucial to keep up SEO and Search Engine Rankings and present new contents and products.

To make sure that your website is up to date, we offer regular health checkups and content improvements. Our team of Web Designers takes care of any problem that might arise through steady monitoring of the website’s plugins or by the core itself. Once we detect a problem it will be resolved with first priority.

A very important part of our Website Maintenance Plans are Backups, which can be done daily, weekly or monthly. This depends on the Plan you choose.

What to consider when doing maintenance on a Wordpress Website?

When stepping into Website Maintenance for a WordPress Website you need to consider a number of tasks that should be done to keep your website running smoothly. The most time-critical tasks are website security updates, core and plugin updates. Without performing these tasks, your website is a potential danger to your visitors.

Many businesses have a lot on their plates without worrying about constantly checking in on their website. We all know how tempting it is to buy a domain name, add some text and pictures and worry about it later. But there are also many reasons why this is not a good idea. Maintaining a new, healthy and active website is important for a number of reasons.

Below we have provided a comprehensive list of tasks we perform for our clients on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

As indicated in our checklist, website maintenance needs to be a consistent part of your business. Your business may grow by itself but if you do not correctly implement a maintenance plan for your website, you can cause some serious problems and setbacks to potential higher growth and business health.

Staying on top of website health needs awareness and organization. This is even more important for a large website with hundreds (or even thousands) of pages.

Important to note is, that by the introduction of new tools to make website building easier, website sizes are growing each year. It might be easy to add pages to most websites, but it’s not as easy to keep all of your pages in a good state.

You once started your business to have customers, clients, or an audience. But now in order to drive traffic to your website, you need to keep it regularly updated.

Search Engines like Google intend to rank websites that have the most relevant and up to date information on their search engine results page, which is relevant to the keywords entered. You risk that your website is being de-index entirely if it hasn’t been updated recently enough. Also websites suspected of being infected by malware will be de-indexed. You must keep your website regularly updated content, news, keywords, and articles in order to rank well in search results.

Frequent website maintenance is crucial for SEO strategy.

Customer attraction and user engagement

The moment your WordPress website is gaining traction and traffic, it is important to keep those potential customers on your website and perform certain actions, e.g. fill out a contact form or even purchase a product. If they aren’t able to find current information and relevant content there is a high chance they will lose interest quickly and leave your website again.

In order for your website to be as useful as possible, you need to ensure that it is free from typos and grammar issues. Your website needs to provide any and all information a customer wants and looks engaging and consistent.

This is the most important reason to keep website maintenance as a priority, especially if your WordPress website is storing any form of customer information.

If you are using a Content Management System like WordPress, you must ensure that you keep the WordPress Core up to date and install security patches. It can be very easy for hackers to find and target websites that are being not maintained.

Corporate Image

Nowadays it has become even easier to create a website that looks well-designed and professional. There is a certain expectation for a professional website from Web Design Agency. If your website doesn’t deliver or lacks professionalism, your customers will go elsewhere or worse they will buy at your competition.

Do yourself and your business a favor by staying on top of your website and its maintenance. This will repay you in the short to medium term.

Why should you outsource your website maintenance?

Now that we’ve established that website maintenance is a must for WordPress websites of any size, it’s time to discuss the advantages to employing someone else to do that maintenance. You can, of course, take on these tasks yourself, but it will save time and stress to pay an agency for several reasons.

Otherwise during the ongoing running of your account, we will communicate with you (telephonically or via email) as often as is necessary. We understand how important timely feedback can be, so you can expect any email queries to be responded to within 1 working day.

Your account manager will be your main point of contact, handling your day-to-day queries and ensuring you are always up-to-date on your marketing campaign’s progress.

Your strategy expert is an experienced professional that specializes in a particular core service at SSG (e.g. an SEO specialist or web developer).

They are responsible for the execution of your online marketing campaigns.

What happens after I accept the quote?

Your onboarding officially begins!

Our onboarding process is purpose-built to ensure a smooth transition between sales, finance, and production. An easy and seamless client experience in this transition is of paramount importance.

Our process involves finalizing contracts, connecting with Accounting, assigning dedicated strategists, and conducting thorough kick-off meetings.

Finalizing Contracts:

Upon receiving a signed SOW, your New Business Strategist at Digitopia will connect with the CEO of our company to review the contract, countersign the agreement, and send it back to you for your records.

Within 72 hours of receiving a signed SOW, our Accounting Department will be in touch with a request for initial payment.

Dedicated Strategist:

For multi-service clients, you will be assigned a dedicated Account Strategist as your main point of contact. Unlike the typical "overloaded Account Manager," your strategist only leads a handful of clients. This allows each strategist the time needed to immerse themselves completely in your brand. Your strategist will act as a seamless extension of your internal team.

Initial Audit & Kickoff Meeting:

Prior to the client kickoff meeting, the team will have requested access to all necessary platforms and reporting tools, which will be used to perform an initial audit of all relevant systems and past marketing activities.

Your account team will come prepared for the workshop-style kickoff meeting (3-6 hours) with additional questions and recommendations on how to prioritize your digital marketing opportunities.

In this meeting, all stakeholders will review a detailed project/service timeline as well as examples of deliverables that will be developed within the first 8 weeks. Additionally, we'll work through a series of discovery and planning exercises that span subjects such as: sales process and performance, marketing goals and current performance, market segmentation, buyer personas, content marketing, advertising channels, and more.

What happens after I request a quote?

We’ll spend some time analyzing your digital marketing goals and budget, conducting research, and creating a winning strategy.

Once finalized, we’ll submit this plan to you and can then discuss whether you would like to proceed with it
